Sam Murray is a travel and adventure creator documenting his journey around the world by bike after making the life-changing decision to leave the UK and set off on a new path following his own struggles with mental health. Through his platform SamBikepackingTheWorld, Sam shares the realities of long-distance travel in a way that is open, reflective and grounded in honesty.

In 2024/25, he cycled solo from the UK to Australia, raising over £30,000 for Samaritans and building a deeply engaged community that connects with his resilience and vulnerability. Along the way, Sam has formed meaningful friendships across different countries and cultures, with his content capturing not just the physical journey but the human connections and shared experiences that shape it.

Sam is currently cycling through East Africa and hopes to take on Kilimanjaro in the coming weeks as part of his wider goal to raise £100,000 for Samaritans by the end of the year. When back in the UK, he plans to continue sharing new journeys and challenges while remaining an open and honest voice in the mental health space.
